일시적 정착 Temporary Settlement
순항 중이던 선박일지라도 닻을 내려 부두에 정박하는 일은 피할 수 없다. 이때 선원들은 정박지에 머무르며 항해를 재개할 준비를 한다. 노마드 예술가 또한 일시적으로 정착하며 그간 그들이 만들어온 그들만의 정체성에 양가적인 감정을 느낀다. 어느 것이든 될 수 있지만 동시에 어느 것도 아닌, 모호한 경계 사이를 떠돌며 자신만의 해답을 얻길 바란다. 차원을 넘나드는 한때의 표류가 어떤 파동을 일으킬지는 아직 누구도 알 수 없다.
노마드는 현재를 쏟아부어 만든 미래를 기대하지 않는다. 지금 이곳에 멈춘 채 현실을 응시하고 다음 이동을 준비할 뿐이다. 어느 곳에 닿을지, 또 언제까지 머물지는 당장 스스로도 알 수 없다. 다만 모든 과정이 그저 행해질 것임을 알기에 덤덤히 나아간다. 그런 그들이 꺼내 놓은 순간의 조각을 본 당신은, 지금 무엇을 떠올리고 있는가.
Even a sailing ship must inevitably drop anchor at the dock. During this time, the crew remains at the berth, preparing to resume their voyage. Similarly, nomadic artists, temporarily settling down, experience ambivalent emotions towards the identities they have crafted over time. They wander amidst the ambiguous boundary of being anything and yet nothing, seeking their answers. No one knows what ripples the transient drift across dimensions may cause.
Nomads do not pour their present into an expected future. They simply contemplate reality while pausing here, preparing for the next move. They do not know where they will land or how long they will stay. Yet, knowing that every process will unfold as it must, they proceed calmly. As you observe the fragments of moments they lay before you, what thoughts come to your mind now?
