Artist’s  Note

Through a reconstruction of images, I explore the past and present and invite the viewers to dissect tales in which a collective Egyptian iconography and intimate memories intertwine. My work is an exploration of identity through past experiences, I reconstruct memories, I imagine some, I invent others and lie about most. I try to question my truths by telling lies, oscillating between fiction and reality. This process becomes a childlike means of exploring one’s identity through imagination  of contemplating the stars and the faraway future. Here I’m reliving/inventing (my) wedding day, the day my mother looks forward to the most.
